Our Fees

Most Private Health Funds will contribute to the cost of your physiotherapy appointment. The amount of rebate varies according to your individual level of cover. You may wish to contact your health fund to find out what rebate you will receive on the day. Payment on the day of consultation is required.

Hicaps and Eftpos facilities are available for the convenience of our clients.

Preferred Health Fund Providers

Walkerville Physiotherapy does not participate in the preferred provider schemes (members first schemes) created by private health funds. We believe that these schemes ultimately disadvantage both clients, physiotherapists, and the profession as a whole. The fee schedules imposed by preferred provider schemes do not reflect the level of expertise provided by our clinicians and do not take into account the quality of service that we provide.

Workcover / Third Party Claims / Veteran Affairs

Walkerville Physiotherapy is fully accredited with WorkCover and the Department of Veteran Affairs. A referral from your General Practitioner is required before any physiotherapy treatment sessions can be undertaken.

All consultations and treatment sessions are billed according to the fee schedules and guidelines set out by Workcover and the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Medicare - Enhanced Primary Care Plan

Medicare benefits are now being paid for physiotherapist services. People with chronic conditions and complex care needs which are being managed by a General Practitioner are eligible for visits to physiotherapists funded by Medicare. If your GP agrees that you would benefit from an EPC plan then you can be referred for up to 5 physiotherapy treatments per year.
